History

Since September 2002 the Centre operates as an independent, private institution. For the first 30 years of its existance the centre operated as The Neurosis Treatment Centre in Rasztów, and later as Analytic Psychotherapy Centre, a department of the Warsaw Psychiatric Centre.
Members of the team are therapists associated for many years with the Rasztów centre as well as their younger collegues, who joined it later. The centre was from the start both a therapy and training unit. Many of our collegues from other cities in Poland have been trained here (clinical practice, workshops, supervisions etc.). We in our turn have been trained by German psychoanalysts from Heidelberg as well as British and German group analysts. The cooperation resulted in establishing in 1991 an association called Institute of Group Analysis "Rasztów" (IGA "RASZTOW") to operate as a training centre.
In 2002 the Institute has been granted Qualifying Membership of the European Group Analytic Training Institutions Network (E.G.A.T.I.N). As the old Centre at Rasztów, similarly the new "Rasztów" Psychotherapy Centre serves as a clinical as well as training centre. |
